Myself and James headed to Dardanelle this morning...It was very cold and we struggeled to keep our rods clear of Ice so we could lower our baits down the 50-60 feet we needed to get our double minnow rigs just off the bottom to catch these fish. We tried every jig in the book and caught a few... but it was the good ole number six minnow that landed most our fish today. We used 1/4 and 1/2 eggs sinkers to get it down and at times we could not man six poles apiece the bite was that good. It was a great last trip of 2012 and I look forward to the new year of fishing. James it was a blast in the Dardanelle Strip Pits with you brother lets do it again soon. Happy New Years To All. Tight Lines...
