    Default rod question ??

ok I am just learning how to spider rig and I have some 12 med action and a couple med hvy action rods that are 12 footer also . I have only spider rigged a couple times but already notice that it seems like some light bites on the med heavy rods don't take the bait . I am not sure if they feel more resistance or not but wanted expert opinions on which rods are best .

I use the 16' pro series trolling rods from Ozark. Best poles I've ever used or sold, and I've tried em all!!!!!

SORRY for all the questions ..... I have been leary of the the 3 pc models in 14 and 16ft but i guess they hold up good since all you guys are using them. Do the longer poles help you get more bites ??

Yes, especially in shallow water. You don't spook them as bad.

Haven't tried the ozark rod but I can say I really like my b&mpro staff 16ft trolling rods. You can buy them from grizzly around $48 a rod and replacement tips too for $18 a tip.
