I know you are kidding about AGFC, but seriously, the last time we were on Conway we DID get checked! Everything O.K. and our meager catch wasn't anywhere near the limit!!

One last note about Fall Crappie Camp. Thanks so much all you Arkansas hillbilly crappie fanatics for making it a tremendous success. I'm sure we'll get together more before next Spring. Heck, I've got a big boat and plenty of room. Pick your seat and be prepared to do the never ending job of sinking to boo.
As planned at the moment, Spring Crappie Camp will be April 14-18, 2007. Start making your plans now. It's going to be a big'un!!!
Hey, I forgot to tell y'all that I ended up with an extra minnow net after Crappie Camp. Several folks gave me their left over minnows, which I just dumped into my bait tank. Apparently a minnow net came out of one of those bait buckets and I found it later in the bottom of my bait tank.
So, somebody probably thinks their minnow net fell out of their boat or worse yet that someone stole it but it's safe and sound in my boat! :)

Spring Crappie Camp will be April 14-18, 2007 at Kirby Landing Recreation Area on Lake Greeson between Kirby and Daisy.
Wildman Steve Wilson with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is planning on having a "Media Event" on Tuesday and Wednesday, which means he will invite TV and Newspaper reporters to come out and take video and pictures and gather information on crappie fishing that they can share with their viewers/readers.
He expects prepresentatives from 5 or 6-TV stations and a couple newspaper reporters. We plan on taking them out on the water for some hands-on crappie fishing. If you'll be at Crappie Camp and would be willing to take one or two TV or newspaper reporters crappie fishing for a few hours Tuesday afternoon and/or Wednesday morning please let me know.
I am with you Minnowman. The only way I miss it this spring will be because of family issues. Planning on fishing every day. Turkey season will take a back seat, however, shotgun will be in the boat just in case an old longbeard need assassinated. :D

When we got done fishing the condo we were on we moved towards them (there were three other hens too) at an angle so I could get a picture. I got one with him in full strut but it is a little blurry - too far away for my little camera.
My mentor, Lee Roy, used to hunt turkey and crappie fish on the same day while camping at Kirby Landing in the spring - "Fish and Fowl" - can't go wrong with that!
So you think that those without a boat should probably not plan on going to the spring camp, sounds like the Media/Press will probably take up any extra seats in anyones boats, right? Hopefully I will get a new boat (or my insurance money) really soon so I can get my own and not worry about it. If it wasn't primetime up here I'd try and talk JT (Jason) into coming down with me, but I bet he's already booked up for that time next year...if you'd let me know about that "boat vacancy" I would appreciate it sir, thanks.Quote:

Darryl and I will be working but we'll have time to take folks out for an hour or two at a time to show how we do our Hovering system and we'll probably be doing some Dabbing in the Shallows too.
Don't worry about bringing a boat if you don't have one by then. Just come on down and have a great time - we'll get you on some fish!
