Those pelicans do as much damage as the commarants. There are enough fish for all. Stay in the docks.

Has anyone been to Horseshoe lately? I went the middle of last week & caught about 20. Nothing really big; biggest was 13". Fished around docks, but didn't fish the ends. Just wondering, do the flocks of pelicans do much damage to the fishery there?

I have been fishing horeshoe quite a bit lately. Catching the better fish under docks 10-12 ft deep. The pelicans have been chasing schooling shad, which means the crappie are beginning to move deep chasing shad. Pulling or trolling might be productive haven't seen very many boats doing it? Couldn't tell you. End of piers this time of year will always produce fish just have to keep pier hoping you'll find them eventually.
Had a friend of mine that caught a bunch slow rolling jigs in 2-2.5' of water a few days ago.
