Might check up river, I fished once this week but it was bad. Water is exremely clear and last time I caught any it was shallow. Bright skies and clear water are bad for fishing.

    Default BPcrappie

Was in Arkansas 11/14 - 11/23. Fished various lakes. Fished Nimrod on 11/15, 11/21, and 11/22. 11/15 only caught a few. 11/21 was a little better as we caught 23 fish and brought home 17 (14 crappie, 2 lm bass, and one bluegill (bream as called in the south)....biggest one caught was by the dam. 11/22 (Thanksgiving) we got into them the best of my time there. Caught over 40 and brought home 38 (36 crappie, 1 drum (5 lbs) and 1 lm bass). Fished the river arm i guess it's called. Can't wait to go back in the the spring or early summer some time.

Lake level nearing low level 342 , watch for submerged stumps along the river channel. Water is extremely clear which can make verticle jigging tough in shallower water. Still Deer hunting but plan to checkout fishing real soon.

THere are 2 levels 345 spring and 342 fall /winter. But at lower pool it can get dangerous.

I think Carter Cove is the best camp ground. You will not have any trouble finding a camping spot at any of the camp grounds.
