Here's what I do with my stake beds. These are "driven" into the lake bed. I like to vary the distance in between the stakes. Some days the fish want a little more shade and they get near the stakes that are just a few inches apart. Some days they are on the more open stakes. I also like to run 3-5 stakes out a way from the main body of the bed. Kind of like fence posts. There are more times than not that I will catch fish on those. Hope that helps.
