    Default Another fish finder question...

Are there any cheap fish finders that comes with a trolling motor transducer?
    Thanks,
    Julius

I believe the low end Lowrance and Eagles use the skimmer transducer that can be attached to the trolling motor foot with a large pipe clamp.

Not for sure what your budget is but the Humminbird 570 can be had for about $190 and comes with a transducer. Good unit for the price.

But you must buy another mount to use it on a trolling motor. Those 570 are good but I thought he was looking low end with transducer ready to mount on TM foot with a pipe clamp. You can find other units for less than 1/2.

Nimrod you still have to buy a bracket to mount the skimmer on trolling motor. Got 2 of em.

F1 it always helps if you give a general idea what your budget is. One guys cheap might be different than yours. Lots of good inexpensive units out there today but don't know of one that comes with a trolling motor transducer. You could contact Brian at BBG marine and he will know for sure. If you find a deal on one of the Lowrance or Eagle with skimmer transducer the adapter is not that expensive. True trolling motor transducer for those units is a little pricy. I have both on a couple of old trolling motors and actually prefer the skimmer.

the majority, if not all transom transducers can be mounted on the TM with a $15 adaptor, so find the FF that fits the budget and mount it up with the adaptor. It does look like a xtra large radiator hose clamp.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

You can use the mount that comes with the 570. Just turn the transom mount over like this and use a Metal clamp that you can get at any hardware store to attach it. It may not be perfect but it will work.
