Default Good day ended bad on Gold creek

I fished the creek today had the pleasure of meeting crappie pro and jason . I was on the way back to the dock when trolling motor started smoking bottom line the switch burned up and I paddled to rr bridge before a couple of good guys finished pulling me to the dock. The motor had been giving me some trouble not engaging quite right but as usual I ignored instead of fixing problem someday I will learn maybe but at least it was not raining or freezeing cold and I was able to give my fish to my rescue freinds.I did have a new motor at home and will get the other one repaired.good fishing KS

Dude that stinks. Bright side though, it happened on the way back to the ramp and not on the way to the fishing hole!

Could have been bad , maybe up the creek without a paddle or something like that. I got a buddy that always has boat troubles ,but his favorite say'n is I'll do it tomarrow. He has lots of boat troubles . A good reason I don't want to fish in his boat. Get it fixed and get back out there cause it looks like the bite is starting to pick up.

Good you made it back and have a extra at home. I have been towed in and towed people in. It happens to all boat owners.
