MB is right, being that you wont be under power you just need 1 white light in the rear.It has to be seen from 360 degrees. You might also look on youtube, ive been looking at kayaks for awhile now, there is a guy who took a small piece of pvc pipe (1/2" maybe) and made a pole and then glue a very small tap light on top. It seemed to work well, there are all kinds of ideas out there.
