Thread: Off to Piney Bay

Heading to Piney Bay in the morning for two weeks. I hope the cooler water will have them in the mood. When I was at Illinois Bayou the crappie did't turn on until the last day so maybe thay are still ready to play.

Good luck. Piney Bay is a great place to be, we've done many a camp & fish trips there over the years. Please report on your trip.

Hope they are biting for ya. Lake Nimrod Crappie have scattered and difficult to find jiggin. I'm ready to try Dardanelle soon. Keep us posted please.

Hey Nimrod,
I was planning to be at Nimrod end of this week. Would you try Dardanelle instead? We did well there last year in October.

You might do well spider rigging but jiggin brushpiles has slowed. I think the cooler water has them scattered chasing Shad.

When I can't do any good ,I sure would not tell them to jig fish here! Spanky was even struggling this week to get hit!

Soon as hell freezes over. Maybe when I get too old and feeble to hold a jig pole.
