    Default Double rigs

Out of curiosity I see a lot of people using double minner rigs. What is the purpose. It seems like the one time I saw billy e fish he would catch only one at a time and lose minner on other hook due to shake off a lot. Why not use one hook and minner. My one jig kept up with his two minners.

Well it would seem to increase your chances of catching fish. I tried it and had the same experience of catching one and shaking the other minnow off so I went to a minnow and jig combo if I use a double rig.The bite seems to vary back and forth, one on the jig and then one on the minnow regardlless of which is on top or bottom. And yes if I got one on the jig he ususally shook the minnow off. The most frequent doubles I get is when I get into a school of white perch.

i have caught several dbl.'s with the dbl rig also when you start you can use more colors to help with pattern also on depth !!!! at the fall camp in two days i caught 10 dbls !!! and ea time one was the momma and her baby !!!!!!!!!! i caught two at washington back in the spring both was over 2 . so i will keep using my rig!!

I would have to agree that the double rig sure helps me pattern the color and depth faster. I had meatgetter send me my last minner critter order all with double barb aberdeen hooks in stead of sickle style and noticed hardly any minnows getting lost after catching a fish on other hook. Each to there own but i use minnows and always have plenty in boat so if i loose one i just replace an keep on fishing.

I don't think so harold he had 8 hooks in water and I had 4 and i caught just as many fish as he did. 8 to 4 isn't a fair playing field lol but I would say we were equal in catch.

I love it I think more baits (whatever kind jigs or minners) better the chanches of catching. Just my opinion I could be wrong. But I bet you could take that to Veges your money should be on the doubles. LOL!!!!!!
If it will hold cornmeal it's big enough for me !!!!!!!!!
