I fish a small/medium size local lake called lake elmdale. It has little to no structure other than 1 massive brush pile that everyone that crappie fishes that lake hits at least once when theyre on the lake. One bank have a very shallow mud/grass bottom, and the other side of the lake is deep and has a very sharp drop off from the bank. I catch most of my crappie around the deeper water section of the lake but as of late I cant seem to find them even on the fish finder. I'm going out tomorrow morning with jigs and minnows. If you were me, what section of the lake would u fish?

What they said, fish over here have left brushpiles and following Shad into shallow areas.

Thank you gentlemen. Got a late start but I'm headed to the lake as we speak. Hopefully catch a few that are picture worthy
I would agree. Find the sharp drop offs where deep water meets shallow and you'll find fish suspended.

Can you sink your own brush there? Just do it after dark so no one sees where you put it.
