    Default Still building structures

Maybe I can post some photos later. Been sinking something about everyday I launch my boat. We have a trailer load of Persimmon tops to sink this week. Considering shallow water spots so they will not be too deep next spring. Anyone else sinking cover lately?

Slick, do you burn or thin them out before sinking? I hear some green ones moss or algae over in some waters?

No we just sink these on Quachita, I am helping my boss sink these. When I sink them on Greers I usually let them dry before I sink them. I don't worry about getting hung and losing a jig.

I'm currently sinking bamboo buckets on Greers. Sat out 9 on Labor Day. I'm set up to build 12 at a time but it's difficult to cut and load enough bamboo on a 16' trailer to build 12. I plan to have close to 100 out by May 2013.

That will work, if you put in the work it usually pays off for years.

Some folks think they must build them too thick. Fish like plenty of room to swim around and through IMO. We can load a bunch on a 16' trailer if stacked straight and roped down.

I can cut and haul enough bamboo for 20 buckets on a 12' trailer. I've got at least two sets of ropes. After I stack half of the boo I'll cinch it down. Then I'll load the other half. Although, I haul it less than two miles, so often times its quicker to just haul half and make two trips, then bothering with cinching it down as much.

I only put 12 to 15 stalks of boo per bucket. Whatever it takes so it looks fishy. How much are you using?
