I started to call them up and raise cane about the numbers in the can, but found it's much more fun to fuss about it on the crappie forumPlus, I'm probably not considered a high profile customer since I've only purchased 2 cans in the last 40 years and my goal is to not purchase another can for 40 more years.
The can yesterday had 3.5 sardines. The can today had 2.5. I'm thinking about buying another can and holding the first ever canned sardine tournament. Best weight for 7 fish wins.

How much did it weigh when they were packed like sardines? I think they just stuffed as many as they could get in there back in the day!!! Lol
