    Default Lake Conway tough today!

Well, I fished from 9 am til bout 4pm caught several crappie all were less than keeper size. Most were around 8 to 10 inches, they bit really light, I guess the front really messed with them more than I figure it would. So I ain't eating fish for supper tonite, looks like Arkansas round steak for me( bologna).

Pan fry that baloney with some onion and put some cheese on it while it's still in the pan and let it get all melty and gooey and put some bread on it and put some mustard on it and eat it while it's hot and you got some pretty good eatin right there. Sorry to hear about not catching great bigguns, but baloney is not too bad every once in awhile. Matter of fact, I'm trying to get on a baloney pro staff as we speak.

I rolled that bologna in corn meal and fried it, it just ain't the same as crappie fillets, glad I had bologna in the fridge, it was a life saver, if I had to depend on my catch today I would still be hungry.

Fishing was tough here too! I started out baiting Catfish and building more brushpiles. Wind was awful and west end of lake so muddy jigs disappeared about 2'' under. Fished most of the day fighting winds and small fish. Did finish up with a limit of 10 to 13'' Crappie.

They hit jigs so hard when you got a hit, it was hard to remove it without killing them. Reckon they could see them minnows as muddy as it was? Hope the wind is not bad next weekend cause you'll have trouble in the open water.

Don't forget we have a 20 fish limit here not 50 like they do in them penned up oxbows you fish.
