Is Dardanelle not a real lake? Nimrod is not a mudhole? Peckerwood? I usually catch fish on jigs without the need for minnows . Not saying minnows won't get strikes but I like the skill it takes to use jigs. Crappie fishing with minnows is like duck hunting with live decoys. Never understood why Bass touraments and Crappie Tournaments have completely different fishing standards?

I hardly ever buy minners cause I longline. But if I was spider rigging I'd be fishing bare hooks with meat.

Whooooo Weeeee, you guys are gettin all riled up!!!!! If ya don't like minners, that's OK. We understand you need to save a few bucks, since most of you guys find a way not to werk!!!! I am envious of y'all!!! Being the President of the New MHMandMC club, let's have a series tournaments to resolve this issue!!!! No home lakes to fish, use whatever ya want, any style you like, any time of year ya choose, and let's see who wins out!!! Must have at least three tourneys so there aint no ties. I know you jig guys have the advantage cuz you save all that big money not payin fer minners, but that's OK too. Us MHMandMC members are used to the added expense, so we short our families on gifts at all the major holidays to offset that cost!!! Now shaddup, or put up!! I'm bettin on the MINNERS!!!!

We just feel it's not sporting to use a crutch in a tourament and a dozen live baits trolled is a crutch IMO. Guess B.A.S.S. needs to change their rules and allow 12 poles baited with Shad.
