Those were probably caught on a minner. Here's some that came on a purple and chartreuse umbrella tube on a 1/8 plain jig head.

Don't underestimate RCC. He does catch fish but is tight lipped. Afraid they will follow his boat . Them look like ''Buckwheat Jig '' fish.

Buckwheat and the purple and chartreuse umbrella have been mighty kind to us this year, but I've jig fished more than I ever have prior to this year. Carol was saying the other day that we don't catch the quantity and size of the people on here, and she is right. Thanks to the "pros" that have helped us to be able to catch what we have. All who know me well know that when it comes to fishing, I hold my cards close whether it is my home water or I'm fishing "borrowed" water.

Thanks to all that have helped put Carol and I on fish this year.
