    Oh ok....Nice job...I haven't seen any i have like before, but those I do...Is the "red" some kind of rubber coating to protect rods?

    Yes it is the plastic dip you use to coat the handles of a pair of pliers.

    I've used the same stuff with great success on the rod holders in my dad's boat. Eliminated some wear and tear on our rods & reels, and made them much more quiet.

    Good looking" rod racks, Wayne! I couldn't help but notice the bungie cords! Was it you that posted on here that a rod bounced out of the rack going down the lake one time? Great job!
