Took the wife to the deer camp with intentions of fishing a little on Saturday morning and then working on the deer stands the rest of the weekend. That plan got shot down on Friday night when the rain started around 11 pm. 1.5" later, the ground was to wet to get all my tools to the stands.
Got the wife up around 6 am on Saturday morning, cooked a little breakfast and headed to the lake around 7 am. Told her we would fish most of the day since it the ground was wet and the roads muddy (I'm not much on welding in water or mud). Got in the boat and fished about 45 minutes when I heard thunder. We ease back to the truck and load the boat. The rain quit around 1 pm leaving us another 2". Got to fish about 2 hours behind the rain. We caught between 12 and 15 and kept 7. Here's a pic of her with "her" catch!!
