Just wanted to see everyone's input on how this cooler weather will affect the crappie. I assume it will help the bite. How long do you think it will take to sink in? Does a cold front in the fall make them tight lipped like in the spring?

Fish are likely to start fall patterns if this cool weather holds. Definitely better on fishermen. Shad start pulling into creeks and bays as water cools and fish will follow.

In my expert opinion, I think it could help, then again, it may hurt.

It will dang sure make it easier for us to chase them all day. However, I don't think it will have much effect on the bite until it's cool enough, long enough to cool the water down. Can't wait for the water to get into the low 50s and move them deep on Ouachita.
