Bigben, glad you got to experience fishing with the one of the finest host and fishermen I've ever met. I know my trip in the spring left good memories that will last a lifetime. I not only left with a big mess of crappie and good memories, but he loaded me with knowledge that I have tried to put into practice on my home lake.
Looking forward to fall camp and getting over that direction to visit with friends.

Big Ben if you can catch crappie on Maumelle ,Nimrods like gravy. crappie gravy. I like to fish Maumelle but we drive by it to go to Nimrod when we want to catch fish. My girls ask if we re going fishing or catching. Looks like you had a good day.

I still prefer the filets I get off the 10-12" blacks I catch in Maumelle I just need to learn to catch more of them each trip. There certainly are a whole lot of crappie in Nimrod. I'm just enjoying seeing the different experiences, challenges and rewards of catching crappie in the wide variety of lakes in Arkansas.
