Lake Nimrod

Fished Lake Nimrod a couple days this week, one day myself and Conway limited out. Went back the next day got a late start and caught 30 keepers before storm and wind... then more storms and wind drove us off the lake. Caught lots of small fish but also caught several good keeper sized fish. Fished main river drop offs and caught them on just about anything we threw at them. Fish were caught anywhere from 5-15 feet deep. I am am sure that the main river channel on Nimrod is the key right now to consistently catching fish. I have several spots marked along the river channel drop off's that I will verticle jig my next trips out there. We mainly trolled these two trips, but I do believe that I will catch some bigger fish this next Monday and Tues when I verticle jig the cover. It was good to see Some fellow C.comer on the lake Meatgetter and Nimrod see you next Monday and Tues weather permitting. Tight lines...

Yes that was my dad and uncle with me CA. We were on track to having a good day but the lighting wind and pop up storms just would not leave us alone, but the 30 we caught was plenty for dinner. I'll see ya Monday and Tues, im leaving the spider rigging equipment home my next trip and just going to verticle hit em on the head.

U guys quit being mean and rubbing it in with all these Nimrod fish!! Sure wished it was a closer drive. You guys have been killing them. Awesome job!!

You guys are killing me too banghead I just might have to drive over there Saturday and see if I can jerk some out of the water myself. Been several months since I was on Nimrod. If you guys see a camo Xpress boat with a Yamaha four stroke on the back stop and say hello.

Yes Jerry looking forward to seeing you and CA agian, were putting Lake Nimrod on the (Crappie Reduction Plan) for the AGFC. I think it will help the lake out in the long run. Man that lake has allot of crappie. LMBORofl

I been working on that plan for over 40 years and ain't got it done yet!Rofl
