Burns me up when im out there with a fishing pole trying to earn a honest living... and a trot Line, limb line, or YOYO hooks me up when im trying to fish. I wonder if the AGFC ever comes out and takes a good look at thier Flagship Lake and say "You Know what we need to do something about all these Trot Lines, Jugs, YoYO's, Limb Lines hanging from all these beautiful Cypress trees." Cracks me up Every time Iv'e seen a game Warden on Conway he is out to give somebody fishing with a fishing pole a ticket. Not one darn time have I ever seen the AGFC checking and cutting down an unused YOYO's or old line from a tree or stump. OR even checking to see if they are properly marked OUT LAW THEM and will all have a better lake to fish.
I despise them to, how ever I have witnessed on more than one occasion the agfc cutting down , limb lines, yoyos and trot lines. As far as calling lake Conway their flagship lake, I laugh, if it was their flagship lake it would bE full of walleye, trout and striped bass. The agfc could care less about lake conway, it is run by the d&@n lake Conway home owners assosiation. However I have been checked by the game warden the last two weekends on lake conway, and I have also taken note that he could hardly walk in the boat for all of the limb lines and yoyos laying in the floor of his boat, that he had cut down. It's like the cypress just grow them back after they are cut down. I will give the agfc some credit, do they do enough no, but they do more than what they get credit for. I do not like lazy man fishing equipment hanging from the cypress trees no more than the next fisherman with a rod and reel. I personally cut every trot line And limb line I can get my hands on, if people don't want them cut they should put them below the water surface and run them by the agfc regulations.
Welcome to the home of the, boat eating, trolling motor busting, prop bending, lower unit smashing, stump filled mud hole called Lake Conway.
