How many fish.

How many fish have the members of this board caught INCLUDING released fish? Just from the stories I've read and the fishermen I've met, I would estimate at least 20,000 maybe more. I just know that a bunch of fish have been caught and probably some individuals are already up in the thousands caught, if you include the released. Not trying to figure out the best fisherman, just wondered about the total numbers caught by all fisherman,so I could crunch some numbers and see if there are gonna be any crappie left when I retire.

I have caught in between 1700-2000 just since april. Kept most of em.

That would be a lot for a few of the folks on here. Just crappie this year maybe 250. All fish would have to be around 500. I did not fish for bream this year or the number would be higher. I would like to see Nimrods estimate. I think he fishes every day (and I never got an invite from him or old ww).

For me, it would be a better guess as to the number of fish i have released. And tht number would be below 20. As far as keepers, I can make an estimate of the number of trips I have taken and then the average number of fish I caught per trip, and divide that number by the temperature of said trips, and then take the square root, and multiply that number by 3.14159265.

After all that math, I would say my total catch this years would be somewhere around the 200-300 mark.

Since the shoulder doc released me to fish around April 1, I'd say I've caught around 350 and released around 150.

SWAG, though.

I would guess an average of 500 a month for me, according to my logs.

So in the last 100 days you've averaged between 17 -20 fish per day without missing a single day of fishing??? Man you been wearing em out! Biggrin you retired?

since jan 1 though may31 my fishing log has 1360 kept , had a couple real good trips since then. have no clue on how many released dont keep that record!!!!!!!! last saturday fancy seats and i kept 40 crappie and i know we released that many more,sunday nimrod,ms.meatgetter and myself kept 30 catfish released 12 then went crappie fishing kept 24 and released at least 50!!!
