Several streams have Smallmouth Bass. Strawberry, Spring, Black, and Current Rivers as well as many feeder streams are good places to look. Great summer time fun for kids of all ages. I love wade fishing over here , we catch a mixture here of Smallmouth, Spotted , and Largemouth Basses. Also several other species inhabit streams and will hit small baits cast. Just remember , unless you need a small mess it's best to practice catch-n-release in stream fishing. The small streams can be easily over fished , fish grow slowly and are easily caught.

We used to always fish the little creeks up there like Martin Creek and Myatt Creek. Was lots of fun! Them dudes put up a fight for sure. We never brought home a single fish even before Game and fish put a length limit on em. Looks like fun.

better check the fishing regs before you keep a mess of smallmouths for eating...Personally, i throw all the smallmouths back...but i keep all the others, largemouths, kentuckys, goggle eye (whatever you call them), walleye and clear water cats...but if my granddaughter caught a hansome smallmouth (like in the picture) i would have it mounted, also...for me, catching trout is like catching any other trash fish...i would throw them up on the bank for the varmits, except some folks would get excited...great pictures and a good lookin wading hole...
Save the planet, it is my favorite place to fish...
