Mayday Mayday Mayday
Caught five crappie this morning, and spent the rest of the day looking for my buddy's glasses. Seems he's too clumsy to find his seat. (No he wasn't drinking either) Finally found em in bout two foot of water under six inches of mud! I'm gonna be laughing for a loooong time.

It's been 2 springs ago but I took a dip one cool March day over in OK while crappie/bass fishing. I had about 25 crappie in the boat already and the bass were just starting to move up so I decided to try a few of them back in a cove. I got hung up and was trolling towards to retrieve it when the wind took a notion to blow my boat into a stump. I didn't see it, lost my balance and in I went. I pitched my pole and thrashed around, then stood up in about chest deep water, crawled back in the boat and realized my cell phone made one last beep and was dead, also about $250 worth of rod and reel were gone! I spent the next 30 min trying to retrieve my rod before going home to clean crappie, still wet of course.
Yep Ive been there... one time fell out when setting the hook on a three lb LM and the screws come popping out of the wood deck i had installed seat just flopped right over the side with me in it. Held onto the rod and Caught the fish too.
Another time launched my boat into the Arkansas river with out the rope attached to trailer. Had to swim out and get it and pull it back to shore. Isnt it just exciting all the stuff that can happen to ya when fishing. LOL

If Your Big Crappie Star Bound, Let Me Warn You It's a Long Hard Ride. CP
I lost a brand new pair of bi-focals on the St Francis. Stuck a stick up where they hit the water, pulled off the shoes and over the side I went. You would be surprised how many sticks feel like glasses frames to your feet. Took about 30 minutes to find them and I knew where they went down.
I had the same thing happen to me. Hot summer time, I'm fishing a big worm in deep water when a bass gives me a thump and begins to take off. I gave him a good hook set and being hot and sweaty the rod flipped right outa my hands into about 20' water. I didn't think, just dove right in on top of it, came up reeling and had my buddy pull the fish in while I held on to the boat. When I seen about a 14" fish on the other end I just shook my head, I thought it was a goodin. I wasn't about to lose a high dollar rig like that though. I've gave several items, including cell phones a bath in the past. Me and a buddy were trolling across white oak, hit a stump and he inadvertently kicked overboard about a $250 rig that's still there someplace. Had a rod fly out of the boat on Dequeen lake when the big bladed spinner bait caught wind and took it out. Lost a dip net on that lake as well. If we fish long enough it's bound to happen though.
