I had got on here a couple weeks ago and posted my dad was looking for a 20-40 horse motor, used. Well I think he's decided to buy a new one now. So does anybody know where he might buy one cheapest at?? I've been looking and so far no real deals to be found. I keep telling myself I just ain't found the right web site yet. Also who makes the best small motors these days, Mercs, tahatsoo, suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, evinrude, ??? I'm guessing a 25-30 would be big enough.

We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.
I have ran several motors and now I believe I have found my favorite. Tohatsu TLDI, great on gas and oil.
There's a local boat shop here in HS that I know deals in the Tohatsu motors. Heard he can get them fairly cheap also, least cheaper than I've found on the net thus far so I may go that route. I had no idea what was the best motor, small motor out there now and thought yall might help. That Tohatsu/Nissan seems to be getting a lot of praise though. I think after fighting with my old 150 Merc and it's cold natured ways I won't EVER, EVER, have another one of those black motors again! In my opinion they really messed up when they put out so many of them cold natured dudes. Last I heard Yamaha rates their horsepower at the prop, not the powerhead which gives you more power than the Mercs and some others. I think if I ever get a big boat again it's gotta have a Yamaha on it for that reason and I haven't ruled out telling dad to get a small Yamaha either.
Yamaha or merc for me.
i have a 25hp four stroke tohatsu 2003 model it has been a great motor, a lot of the fish farmers use them and also commercial fisherman around here has them. i know if they would stand up for them they were good motors. 50hp merc and below are now made by tohatsu also!!!
