Default Xring right on target with Mr Whiskers

Don and I decided to give the Crappie a break and catch some Catfish. We did OK and just might hit the Green Carp (Large Mouth Bass) tomarrow.Rofl I'm baiting a couple Catfish holes again this year. Nice change of pace from chasing Crappie for weeks on end.

Nice catch guys! Nimrod, you mind sharing a little info about how you bait those holes? What you use, how much of it, how you pick your locations to bait?

No problem. I bait a spot on a drop off with cover. Seems to work better if you have a firm bottom also, mucky bottoms will work some. I used to use sweet feed pellets and pour out a sack first day then 1/2 a sack each day. longer you bait the better it can get in the right spot. Some years I bait my best holes for 2 to 3 months or till we tire of catching them. Now I use scrap feed , which contains lots of stuff including whole grain. I sour it in 5 gallon buckets of water for 2 or 3 days first. Helps to take a extra amount of feed so when bite slows to broadcast some around the boat. We fish with Liver , Catalpa Worms or whatever we can find. I know folks that use those dip sponge baits.

Guys wish us luck , we are on a roll. Last 3 trips with Xring have been great. We limited on Bream awhile back, yesterday limited on Crappie , and today it was a limit of Catfish. Hopefully we can sore lip a few Green Carp tomarrow.
