When rinsing my fillets I examine each fillet for parasites and take the tip of my fillet knife and pick it out. Those blood worms are ussally balled up in a red bloth in the meat easy to spot. There is also a little yellow worm most common in bass fillets I pick out also, they are harder to spot and i dont know why but they love bass. Hardly ever find one in a crappie.
Those yellow or white and about about the size of a grain of rice? The worms are in Crawfish which are eat'n by Bass then Bass by wading Birds then pooped back into water to complete life cycle.
