Im going to do my best not to eat a worm fried or unfried of any kind, I also dont want to serve up a nice worm filled fillet to the people I cook for or give fish to.
It was about 20 years ago and I knew nothing about parasites, went to a little lake in northwest ark and caught about 10 bass, took them home filleted them and cook up for some friends, the next day went back to the same lake and caught another 8 or 10 this time when I cleaned them I noticed both the red worms and yellow parasites in every fish , knowing the fish the day before had to have had them made my stomach turn, I never mentioned this to anyone who ate fish that day butt it didn't make anyone sick or anything so I'm sure theres nothing wrong with eating a few of em!!
Game and Fish biologist tole me one time that if I knew all the parasites in meat, both wild and domestic, I'd be a vegetarian. I'm sure it wont' hurt, but it was kindda gross finding that dude in the bottom of the bowl, especially since I'd eat fish out of it last night. I notice on one fish that there was a gash across his back, but I figured he'd been sucked up in the relift pump or something, and even noticed a bruised looking spot on the fillet. Didn't think nothing about it. I'm sure thats where he was hiding.
i have only found one thing any kind of bass is good for(black, white or yellow) they make great fertilize for my garden!!!!!!!!!!
Who said bass? This worm crawled out of a crappie fillet! lol
