Had I not been working today I would have been on the water. I fished last Saturday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm in spite of the heat. I don't like the heat at all but I sure like catching fish.

Haven't chased after any bream yet but you can usually catch a good mess of big ones this time of year.

been going more than normal. catching fish on most trips, just not a lot of size like in spring, but still fun to go and feel that tug.

Nimrod, I am starting to like them umbrella jigs, they do work better sometimes on these oxbow lakes I fish regularly. Migh tbe heading your way in a couple Saturdays.

Crappie bite still good up here, kept another limit today. Went out about noon and it was hot and bad windy. Guess I will fish here till Oauchita improves.
