Fished Lake Martin this morning. Caught some real nice 3 inch bream and several small ones. Drug some jigs. Drug some cranks, Drug some Alabamer Rigs. Wished for some minners but they apparently don't make them down here. Finally ran into this and drug all the junk through it and caught nothing.
Tied some Bobby Garland Mo Glo jigs on the spinning reels and vertical jigged up a nice mess of Line Sided Small Mouthed Crappie. We don't have this strain of crappie at home, but due to my impeccable fish identifying skills, I was able to identify them with no problem.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and
a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.
Beats getting skunked anytime.

Those dang things will sure mess up some soft plastics in a hurry but they are fun to catch.
Sounds like you had fun
Every single one of the above posts is absoultely true. We went minner scouting awhile ago and was able to buy some about 3 or more inches long. The goal tomorrow is to get right back on the same fish and catch them 2 at a time with a caps and coleman 2 hook rig. When we run out of the 42 dozen minnows, we will set in with the jigs Rofl Who knows, buckwheat may get in on some of the action.
I ate my first of them for lunch, and they weren't bad at all. They were fun to catch.
Did ya'll notice the 2 jigs going down in the sonar pic?
Those small mouth crappie will sure mess up a longline trolling setup.
