    Does anyone know if they are spawning yet...I've been catching them suspended in 15-20 foot of water..When do they move in shallow and how shallow??? Thanks i'm a newbie...LOL

    Sorry beefed up, they are done at Poinsett. I hope you have a spider rig and can troll. Concentrate your effort to the area straight across from Deckelman ramp towards the cove. The water was lower than normal this year and messed up the spawn as well as the warm weather early. The area by the dam and the first cove is the next area. I think you might be fishing to deep. Try the 10-12 foot range and slow troll minnows or a #46 or #11 Meatgetter Jig. Thats yellow and white and blue and white if your just getting started. Tie 2 jigs on 1 line. Dont worry about the fish you see on the screen, look for structure. RCC and I have been putting condos in that lake for years. There is still a lot of standing timber just out from the state park ramp. Good luck and welcome from Jonesboro
