Default My first spider rigging trip

Went fishing with Meatgetter yesterday, at Lake Washington to try spider rigging for the first time. The trip started with Jerry fixing us a fine breakfast. We got on the water early and fished most of the day. The bite was slower than it had been down there, probably due to the front passing thru the day before, but we caught fish most of the day. We were using Meatgetter minner critters and shiners on 8 poles with me watching 4 on the right side. A really good way of catching fish out in open water when your having to find fish. Really enjoyed fishing with Jerry, both sitting up front talking and watching the poles for the bite. We ended up with a good mess of fish with 47, with some really good crappie in the bunch. I weighed the best 7 when I got home and they weighed 12 lb 2oz. Will try to post pics if I can remember how.

That is how it starts. Spider rigging today, pulling cranks tomorrow; about $150 later. I fished Washington during the Crappie Camp. I will be making some more trips down there.
Good to see you posting some again.

Glad to see you got to fish the spider way. Warning it can be addictive. Jerry is a good fellow to fish with too. Good mess of fish.
