    Default Beaver Advice

Hello all - I am from Liberty, MO - so mostly fish Missouri lakes and read the Missouri board - but we will be staying on Beaver Lake for a week for a family vacation May 26 thru June 2. We will be staying near the Hwy 12 Bridge area.

I notice I don't see much about Beaver on this forum. I know it is known for striper - but what I'm used to going after are crappie and catfish. I have a 20' flat bottom Xpress so will be mobile - unless the water is real rough.

Any advice on fishing that area at that time of year would be greatly appreciated. Surely a post spawn pattern by then? We have the equipment to spider rig if that is the best method (or close anyway - a six legged spider for now) and also a couple of floating lights if that is likely to work.

    Thanks much for any help.

You may want to look at Escalapia Holler and Joes Creek, Both of them are South of Hwy 12 Bridge but very close. TheyShould be in or around the cedars and standing timber somewhere either near the creek channels or up suspended on the outside edges. Good Luck
