Whatever works best for you. Personally I like the 14ft rods with small baitcasters that have the thumb bar release.

I am getting rigged up for Spider rigging. I fish mainly at Nimrod and Dardanelle. I plan to buy BnM Pro Series trolling poles and I am considering `14 foot length. Before I order, I would like some of your opinions as to what length poles you use and why. The advantages and dis-advantages that you have experienced.
Also, what about reels for the poles. I fished with a guy that was using 16 foot poles and had little spinning reels on each. When he hooked a fish, he would throw the anit-reverse switch on the reel and reel BACKWARDS while lifting the fish. This kept the fish where he could reach it without having to flail around trying to reach up and get it !! I couldn't get the hang of it, but it was my first spider rig trip.

Why not just save money, get you a jig pole and fish? Spider riggin is seining in my opinion.

i use 14ft capps & coleman rods with baitcaster reels!!!! a limit is a limit if its with one pole, two poles, six poles or dynamite !!!!!! the moral to this story is " A LIMIT IS A LIMIT " REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU CATCH THEM!!!

I got (4 each) the 14' PST and love them! Now, I am thinking I want some 16'.
I prefer 14 footers and I'm not a big spider rigger but sometimes it's a good change. In the summer and cold winter months u can kill them. I use Ozark pro series trolling rods we have 14s and 16s. I use spinning reels with mine if your going to use bait casting reel u will probably fish them with the guides up. You need to fish what ever your comfortable with I wish u good luck.

I am constantly amazed that some people are so insecure they have to ridicule how others fish.
Very sad. Must not have much else to do.
