Thread: question about the spawn

I havent been on to much as of late, been busy with work and winter is when I get a lot of rod orders. Buuuuut now its spring and Im ready to get my line wet and caught a few limits this yr. I'm purchasing a new Wilderness Commander kayak and want to catch some of these spawning crappie with my gf. I know that they spawn in small gravel around brush. My question is, do they also like to spawn around boat docks? If I cant find gravel and brush, would a jig or minnow under or around big boat docks put some in my cooler? Also should I look for shade or sunny spots? Any help will be taken to heart. Thanks in advance, James.

Yep if the Lake your talking about has allot of Docks, then chances are they will spawn around them, especially the ones that folks have put cover around. As far as shade and sun. Fish both this time of year.
