the cheap vanilla flavoring will work just as good as the vanilla extract. i keep a bottle in every boat and in my truck. put it on every exposed part of your head, face and neck. the turtle swears by absorbine jr. and some say avon something so soft.

Well guys, its uh, confession time, I can't use the vanilla that so many reccomend..Its silly I guess, but when I was growing up, the girls used vanilla flavoring to "smell pretty" I can't even pass a bakery without getting all excited,,,and SOS, by Avon (skin so soft) is so danged slick, greasy, and it burns like heck when sweat trickles it down into your eyes...Then some reccomended mouthwash, heck,,a man start useing that stuff and in no time, he'd be useing deodorant and such stuff as that. I guess I'll have to take those vitamin B-1 pills my X told me about, I do appreciate all your replies though!!!

I wonder if a thermacell would work, and I heard taking some kind of garlic pill will help repell insects and prolly everybody from bothering you too.

100% deet works really well, just stings the skin a little. Also bullfrog sunblock with insect repellent in it works good, you kill two birds with one stone, sun protection and bug protection.
