I agree with all that's been said. We are really blessed here in Arkansas to have all the great crappie fishing waters that we have, and enjoy fishing them and sharing with others our successes and failures. Before Crappie.com we couldn't do that, except by word of mouth to a few folks. Now, the folks like me who don't catch as many crappie as the heavyweights on here still get to enjoy it by seeing the pics and hearing the stories that go with it. Thanks to Slab for that! And you know, one of the best things about it is that on those days when the weather just won't allow us to fish, I see more people on here than any other time! We can fish here even during bad weather! I end a lot of my posts with "Thanks for the post and the pics", and I really mean that because it allows a lot of us to enjoy it with you!! Good thread, Xring. Looks like it's bringing out the best in us!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

What a great place to visit. Some of you I've met in person and found all to be as enjoyable to be around and listen to as when they post. Some that I haven't met, I feel they are friends that I would miss if they weren't on this board. I'll be the first to jab or poke a little fun, and hope that I can be the first to apologize if I cross the line. What I do know for sure is that 3 years ago about this time of year, I decided I would learn how to catch a crappie. In the quest for knowledge, I stumbled on this site and found a wealth of knowledge, and wisdom that came from what I consider to be the best crappie fishermen in the state. While I haven't mastered the fine arts of catching a crappie, I do know that after the 2nd "Crappie fishing trip" (the first was a complete bust), I have managed to have enough to cook a mess up when I wanted. So, I am with the rest of you when I say that I am blessed also. You can bet, that when I see a big mess of fish, I am envious and would like to have shared the fun with you in person, but at this time in my life, other things must take priority, so I get to share your experience through your stories and pics which I always enjoy.

Thanks to all for posting, and making this the great place that it is.

Since it is such a windy day, I am catching up on reading the posts. You (we) are also blessed to live in the middle of Arkansas where there is great fishing in or around Dardanelle. I have always thought we are especially lucky to have lived (most) of our life during the best part of America's history, 1943 till now for me. I only hope it only gets better from here on for the next generations.
    It ain't nuttin but luck.
