    Default Scaling fish

For those that like to occasionally scale their crappie or bream I used a new product from Mister Twister. It is blades with scraper on the end. It does a great job of scaling the fish, then use the knife part to cut the head off. It is quick and easy, the blades fit the Mr. twister fillet knife and probably most other filet knives. Here is a link to the site. EZ-ScaleR - Fishing Lure | Mister Twister Walmart sells it for 9.95. The site has videos of the scaler in use.

I've looked at them at BPS several times. Looks like it would work fine. I use an old silver soup spoon that I've had for 40 years. One day I'll try the new blades.

Yeah it works really well and the scale don't flip all over the place.

Have you used it on bream yet? I like my spoon for crappie but I'd lay down my spoon on bream if anything worked better.

Haven't tried it on bream yet but sure it will work, that's what I mainly got it for, they are harder to scrape than crappie.
