Just heard they have a store in Little Rock now?? Anyone been....know if they have a good fishing section?

It is located in NLR, just off of 67. They have a decent supply. The strictly crappie supplies are less than to be desired, but they have almost all of the basics. They also sell live bait, minnows, rosey reds, worms, crickets, etc.

Since you will be in the neighborhood, you may also want to try Zimmerman's Sports Center on University Ave. I haven't been in there yet, but I have heard that they have a good assortment of crappie items. I know that they carry the extra-thin wire crappie hooks.

The Gander Mountain store is nice to roam around for a while, but don't expect it to be anything like a BPS store. Good luck.

Thanks again, Ceb. I will try to get up there in time to get to both. Think I am going to go tomorrow after I go fishin' :-) Think I might try East Lake in the morning before the rain moves in..havent been there in a while but always like the lake.

I almost like Academy Sports' fishing section better, they are just across the interstate and worth a check if you have never been there.

Gander Mountain is in the old N. Little Rock wal mart location. Just west of it is the new Academy Sports and north of it is a shop called Fish N Stuff (its beside the Bradford Marine Store)

I would imagine that the crappie are biting good in East Lake now, I have also herd that they are catching them in Middle Old River.
