I have been tying jigs for a while now and I know what a pleasure it is to catch a limit of crappie on your own jig. Its hard to critique your jigs just by looking at them but they look pretty good. Myself, I like more marabou on mine for a larger profile and a little more action. After I tie on the marabou and tinsel , I give the thread a good coating of clear hard as nails before I wrap the body to lock everthing together. Also, wrap the chenille while the HAN is still wet. I have caught 20- 30 crappie on one of my ties and it was still in fair shape. I make my marabou a little longer than normal for more action. Some people think that will cause short strikes but that is BS. Those so called short strikes are mostly dinkers or brim. Any respectable crappie will easily suck a bigger jig in. From what I see, those jigs you tied will catch plenty of crappie and any improvement on the appearance will be just for the craftmanship. I can tie 1/8th oz jigs for about 20 cents a piece. Keep up the good work.
