I looked at the regs and it says something about not having over a daily limit on a one day fishing trip, but doesn't say anything that I could find about a multi-day trip.
Hope you can make to Nimrod Lake and we can fry a few .

Nimrod could use a thinning, maybe just limit fish over 10'' . Maybe like Channel Catfish on the Arkansas River where a extra limit of fish under a certain size in addition to the normal limit.

I can tell you from personal experience that you will get a ticket if you have a limit in your boat and cull. I learned the hard way when I was in my early twenties fishing with my wife. We had our limit and were culling. The warden pulled up and asked to see our liscense, life jackets etc. then he got our fishs out and counted them. We had our limit and i told him we were culling. He politely told me i to put my rods down and we couldnt fish any more. If we caught another fish we were breakin the law. Gave us a warning and since then I always keep one out of the cooler for each person fishing if we are culling. I also use a counter to prevent from going over. Everytime a fish goes in the box its clicked. Best investment to prevent this error in my opinion.

yelp, also remember of you go north into MO you can not cull. Once you put a fish in the livewell, you keep it.

I have found that game wardens are not always correct about the law. For example, if you were not culling and have a limit, you can catch all you want as long as you are releasing them. I think the Game and Fish Commission did enact a regulation that you couldn't cull trout, but I don't think they have ever applied it to any other species. On the other hand, they may have passed something I missed. If you really want to know, get on their website and don't go to the easy to get to regs, but find the complete official regs (which you have to work at to find, or at least I do), and then you will know.

fishing/hunting regulations are put there so the honest person has a guide line to follow, those that decide to cross the line whether it is catching to many fish or killing to many deer, ducks or rabbits the law states you will get fined and might lose your hunting/fishing rights for ever. I dont want thhat to happen to me cause I love the outdoors and its activities. Thats my soap box speech.

Cull means cull. You don't cull when your at limit for law dog safe. You cull 1 before. If you don't make limit, so be it, you culled. IF YOU DON'T MAKE LIMIT AND CULLED, SO BE IT! Seriously, if you know the next ya catch will make limit, and even remotely think you will cull, do so. Going home 1 less than limit > a ticket and points on your record. Points + Disqualification = You no fish in the long run.

when i get my limit i start bream fishing. Same water, same jig, same pole. If a crappie gets on it isn't my fault. I will release him.not cull
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
