I'm at 985 now

and want to post something about fish for my 1k post, so for the next 13 posts you'll just have to put up with my mindless drivel. Hopefully, the magic number will be reached exactly when I get to hit the lake for the first time this year. Of course, if I don't catch a fish and am at post 999, I'll be in a real dilemma. I may not get to post again until I finally catch one about mid-July.

WHAT? You haven't been fishing yet this year??? No wonder you have 986 posts...LOL Better hook up the boat and get to the water quickly...these crappie are dieing waiting on you!!!..congrats on 986 posts!!!~

Post 993. Gonna try to get out on Saturday. I see my luck is still holding. Forecast is for 25 deg low to 37 high winds nne at 12. Just think, if it weren't for me trying to go fishing you guys would have had no winter at all. I have 6 posts to go before Saturday so must choose my comments with care. All who intend to fish Saturday within 40 miles of me should be ready for temps in the teens and hurricane force winds with snow and lightning.

Post 999. The last post till I catch a fish. The forecast is shaping up as I predicted. It will be a tough job to catch a fish in such adverse weather conditions. North wind at 35 to 40 temps in the low 20's, windchill in the negative freeze your tail off range. It's not everyday I get to fish, and this may be the last chance I get to go for awhile, plus my personnal ban on not making post number 1k until I catch a fish is on the line. You can bet your sweet bippy that tomorrow, I will be pulling out all stops to get er done. Jigs, yo-yo's, trotlines, jugs, spider rigs, single poling, single poling with 8 poles at once, jig dragging, crank pushing, dennimite and other miscellaneous methods may be used in the attempt to catch a fish. The only thing that disturbs me is that if I should perish in the attempt even after I have caught a limit tomorrow and fail to make post 1k, I will go to my grave with everyone on the board thinking that I did not catch a fish since I did not make post 1k. There are few people who live on such a jagged edge, and tomorrow, I chose to be one of those people. So, good luck everyone and may the force be with you.
