    Default Mound City Chute


    Anyone fish the Mound City Chute much? Saw it on google earth and figured it might be worth checking out.

    I know a guy who has been catching a few there. If the water is up, you can cross over into another chute on the far end of the lake and that has always been better for me.
    He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

    Where is the Mound City chute? No doubt near Mound City, but where is Mound City?

    Thanks for the info. I've got friends who fish Brandywine Chute and some chute near Lake Village, but I wasn't familiar with this one.

    By the way years ago Rayo Breckinridge had a really good fishing show on for a year or two before he got sick, and it was a great show. I remember on one of them he was fishing the Mississippi River itself in Mississippi County behind wing dams at a certain river level which I've written down somewhere, and he was catching the fool out of crappie. Have any of you tried the River like he did?

    Ain't worth the trip. Only catch a limit every 5 hrs. when the river is right. LOL
