Surprise, surprise another skunk! My morning started up at daylight and there was one heck of a frost. I was hoping to get out there before the wind started howling, which I did but no fish. I'm really beginning to hate the big deep clear lakes. I may have to resort to unethical tactics...I may start scavenger fishing. I've watched as others follow my boat around for a long time and hated it but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Upon talking to several guys today though they all said same thing, they aren't catching them either. Tomorrow's Greeson trip has been canceled due to the weather forecast. Darn lake is so low I could barely launch the boat at Hamelton today.

Well others are posting catches on here and I've caught em too....on other lakes which have lots of crappie. I've said it before If you live near a good crappie lake feel privileged cause they ain't everywhere! In the time and gas I've wasted on these lakes I could've drove other places where I knew had crappie and been better off.
yeap ur right about the whole gas thing
I absolutely can't stand that lake. I've tried and tried but never any luck.
Your selling short some good lakes, ouachita is a great crappie lake, but, unfortunately, it BIG. Its Deep, Its Clear...and difficult to fish if your used to stained shallow water..I would be as lost on a oxbow as you seem to be on the deep clear lakes. I've never fished hamilton, and have no desire too..Greeson gives up some awesome crappie...and never allow your day fishing to be wasted, each trip, you gain some worthwhile knowledge. Its difficult to go to a strange lake and be successful the first few outtings. I am going to have fun whether or not the livewell gets full..but thats just me.
