Thread: white hall or oldtown

any body heard any thing out of either place?

White hall is closed. If you can get in please call me. You will pay for nothing. We will use my boat , poles, bait and lunch. I loved that place. I guess it would be Old Town.

Where are these places are they in or near white hall if so I'm in

Man, I used to kill em at Whitehall!!!! Didn't know they were closed. I haven't been there in years.

Hey Rak - these lakes are oxbows off the MS river. They are as close to you as they are to me. I think I know were your from. Update profile if you dont mind people knowing what part of the state you live in.

Yes a flying carp almost killed a lady down there 2-3 years ago and it has been closed since. Its a true shame

Flying carp?!?!?! There's no such thing as flying carp in the Arkansas River or this far down in the Mississippi River...

The rich folks probably bought it and closed it to the public. Just used the flying carp for an excuse.

Do what? I wear a helmet when I motor our oxbows in the east ark area on the MS river. You have to be pulling my leg LA

The AGFC insist that them suckers aren't a problem around here. At the last meeting we had, I had caught one 40+lbs and 5 or 6 more that were 20-30lbs in my nets that morning, and I carried the big one into the G&F building and told them to walk out to my boat and see the other ones. They're starting to figure it out maybe.

They're also talking about putting a 10cent per lb "bounty" on them. In the last 3 or 4 years, pool 4 and 5 has gotten terrible. I've really seen the decline in buffalo, shad and spoonbills.
