Maybe,,maybe not,,a kid caught one over at Mena this year that was 5 pounds +, not sure of the ozs..
Winds died to a moderate gale force,,I got to go hunt a 6 pound crappie...have a great day..lol
My dad sent me that picture. He said that it was a 5lb 1oz crappie. Who knows if its real or not.
I have heard of the pic but have not seen it. Someone post it please. I am still looking for the 3 lbr
I saw the pic, and it looked mighty small to be a 5lber. 5.3 is the world record!!!

i have not seen or heard of it
May be like that 5 lber that was caught on Cane Creek a couple of yrs ago that was 17.5 inches long!!
Well Xring I grew up not far from Mena and I know a lot of people who doubted that 5LBER since it was only 18". My dad was talking to an older gentleman who said I'd like to see it, i've got a 20" crappie mounted that was around 4LB, He said i'd like to see an 18" 5LBER! The little lake he caught it on wasn't very big, lake Willamena or however it's spelled. Either way a true 5LBER is HUGH! I'm hitting Hamelton tomorrow....I'll post pics when I bring in a 6LBER. Once I find out how to even post pics here? Back to Conway Lake though, i've heard it's a dandy crappie lake, shallow, lots of brush, crappie heaven.
