I have finally been able to put my boat in the water in the past week. I have been 4-5 times in the past week and a half. All I have been able to catch is alot of dinks. They are fun to catch and I enjoy it but I am ready for some fresh filets. I have been fishing tops in creeks and back water off the Ouchita and Saline Rivers. I don't do any trolling or spider rigging because I don't have the equipment. Just me and my jig pole. Is there any advice you guys can offer about catching crappie this time of year without trolling. I should also add that the corps of engineers is dropping the river really really fast right now. Could that also be part of the problem??
