    Default Another Good Day

We went back to the lake again today and did really well. Better than yesterday, but the wind really beat us down today. Not many folks out there today.... not sure if it was because of the clouds and wind or being Easter. A few folks showed up later, but not many. We talked to one guy that caught his limit today with a spider rig.
Sure wish I could go all this week, but my buddies have to work.

Really not comfortable telling the world on the internet, but will be glad to show you. Not trying to be an butt about it, but I am sure the rest of the locals don't want the world knowing about this lake.

Like I said I will gladly show you or anyone else. That is provided you don't get on here and tell the name of the lake or it's location. While I am showing you this lake we might as well fish it too. :D
I am 38 year old. I guided for waterfowl for over 20 years. I had a spinal fusion about 2 months ago, so I am not able to wrestle a boat around or anything that goes with handling a boat...... hence not being able to go by myself. I don't have a boat here, so anyone that wants to fish has to bring a boat. The ramp is..... well it's a back woods ramp that has not been kept up very well. Folks put all kinds of boats in there though.... including big bass boats.
I am not some pyshco looking for his next prey. Just have cabin fever from my time down post op and fish fever and can't seem to catch enough fish to satisfy my fishing urges. :p Every day after fishing this lake I have been going down to a small pond and catching bass and bream, but still can't catch enough fish to satisfy me.

So if anyone wants to go I am more than willing to show you where and how we have been catching lots of crappie. Better hurry before they turn off. :D

I also fly fish for trout, bass and any other type of game fish. For a long time I bass fished tournments, but burned out..........for lack of better words..... right before going into the bigger circut. I still do a bit of bait casting bass fishing, but not as heavy as I used to.

Man I can understand if your fishing small waters and want to keep it a secret. I fish Ouachita and Maumelle so I dont have to worry about folks crowding me.

If your looking for a fishing partner you might look up some of the folks off crappie.com that are in the White county area. I know there are a few that post reguarly and would probably be glad to meet you and fish your honey hole.

Good luck and keep us posted on your catches.

Been on the duck boards this A.M.

    Let me guess..... Shawn? :D

The lake is about 45 minutes from Bebee.

Good luck on the Turkeys. One of these days I hope to kill one..... well, maybe I really don't need to kill one since that would be something else to get addicted to.

    You got it...

I'll explain my strange username..... :D

Back in the mid 70's my cousin Trevor had a Nova that had a black stripe done the center of the hood, up on the roof, and then down on the trunk. It was the "Heavy Chevy" edition.... Growin up we crappie fished on the Saline River alot and we caught alot of the crappie with the black stripe that runs up their nose and down their back.(See attached photo.. I catch them here at my house too.) Every time I would catch one my dad would yell "Heavy Chevy!"...... Thus my crappie fishing knickname...

If I don't head south I'll shoot you an e-mail and see if you are still lookin for a boat ride this weekend....

    That's a good story Shawn.
I have only caught one black nose Crappie in my life and I have caught thousands of Crappie. Just don't get them aound her like other places.

I was talking to a buddy of mine last night and we are doing Trout this weekend. I'm mainly looking for someone to fish with during the week. I do appreciate you thinking of me though and hopefully one weekend we can hook up and go.
Next year we need to get together for a hunt.

    Folks,
Shawn makes some killer duck coffins. These things are great for fields with shallow water!
